Across the ground floor, the study moves between a curved living room and a fluted dining room, treating both as one continuous sequence rather than separate briefs. Deep burgundy and olive velvet carry the living room; the dining room answers in warm timber and stone, tied together by consistent brass detailing.
The study imagines the house evolving in phases, as a family's use of it changes over time.
Both rooms share the same brass detailing on switches, handles and light fittings — a small repeated gesture that ties a Victorian terrace to a warmer, more Mediterranean register without altering its bones.
Burgundy and olive velvet anchor the living room, answered by smoked oak panelling and brass detailing in the dining room next door. The two rooms share a material vocabulary — dark timber, brass and rich upholstery — so the sequence between them reads as one continuous idea rather than two separate briefs.
